Hi guys! I'm finally going to write a post that requires no purchases HAHA!
Here are some life hacks that I find useful for a lazy girl who's trying to live her best life like me:
1) Freeze your fruits - this is the easiest thing you will do with the best health benefits. I don't like the idea of buying frozen fruits but I am often reluctant to eat fruits because of the texture (eg. bananas) or because they will run out quickly and they are super expensive (eg. raspberries). I found that freezing them allows me to eat a healthy snack with a nice smooth crunch (if that makes any sense). Just leave them in the freezer for 1 to 3 hours depending on the strength of your freezer. You will need a container for this. I always put fruits away now because you may want to make a smoothy or fruit bowl on a certain day and you'll have the fruit ready for you to use!
2) Hair loss? Cut your hair - This is a must. I had hair that hung 3 inches under my shoulders and due to your hair being tangles, I had so much hair loss when I washed my hair! It was coming out in clumps! I would put it in braids at night but it still fell out. After cutting my hair, I maybe have 2 hairs come out when I wash it (I untangle it when I have conditioner on). It has been a God sent. Aside from hair treatments and hair loss products, having short hair is a must to prevent further hair loss, do it!
3) Multi-task in the bathroom - Instead of bringing your phone into the bathroom with you when you are doing your business (i.e. pooping) which is unhygienic, you can leave your nail clippers nearby and start grooming your nails instead. You can also leave a nail filer nearby and take this time to be productive and clean!
4) Sign up for ebates - anyone who does online shopping should go to ebates.com, download an "extension" to your web browser and use ebates. You download the extension and from then on, you will see the ebates logo (a yellow "E") on the top of your web browser. Whenever you are on a page that works with ebates (eg. Walmart), you will be notified with a small pop up window on the top of the webpage where you can decide to activated your cashback or decline. If you do activate it, the webpage will refresh itself and ebates will record how much money you spent and give you a payout within a few months (they only have payouts every three months or so). So if you spend $20 in Walmart, for example, and the cash back they offer is 15%, you will receive $3 back just for shopping online. Easy-peasy McNeasy!
5) Cook at home - this is not necessarily a money saver as I have seen in other blogs. I cook from home for so many reasons. First, it teaches you how to cook! We should all know how to cook. This helps us order what we actually want in a restaurant and not just what is available. It also helps us know if what we eat in a restaurant is fresh and it helps us ask for modifications that will adjust the food to our taste. Second, it gives us control over what we put in our mouths. While there are many issues with our food system, cooking at home gives us some level of reassurance of what we are eating. Outdoor food also has a lot of added sugar and salt that is unhealthy for us.
Okay guys, this has been one of my more comprehensive posts and it is all over the place but that's me! I am eclectic and I want each person who clicks to get something out of this. Maybe not everyone can relate to all 5 posts, but you may relate to one which is great!
Enjoy your day!
